Project Development and Financing
Our attorneys work regularly with the office of the Secretary of the Interior to secure approval of projects involving trust and restricted land, from new construction to rights of way access. We also guide development projects through environmental review as required under federal and tribal environmental law.
Bracewell & Giuliani has facilitated the development, construction and permanent financings of tribally owned hotels, destination resort and golf course projects on tribal land in New Mexico, Arizona and Oregon. We also assist developers in bringing shopping center, commercial, retail and office properties, and public and government complexes and schools to tribal lands.
We have extensive experience helping our clients take advantage of federal government guaranty and minority assistance programs, including the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) loan guaranty and insurance program.
