Stephen Crain is a trial lawyer in the firm's Houston office. He is the firm-wide leader of Bracewell's Energy Litigation Group.
Mr. Crain has first chair jury and non-jury trial experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal district courts. He has also represented numerous clients in obtaining injunctive relief from state and federal courts. He has handled appeals in state appellate courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Crain also has arbitrated several U.S. and international matters to awards.
He focuses predominantly on matters arising in the energy industry (including representing power developers and producers, power traders, and suppliers to the energy industry) and disputes involving alleged violations of securities laws (including representing public companies, officers and directors, and special committees).
Mr. Crain has been appointed as an arbitrator in several arbitrations and recently served as an arbitrator in an American Arbitration Association arbitration involving an international contract dispute.
