For more than 20 years, Robert "Bob" Nichols has represented employers in litigation, administrative investigations and inspections, and other actions concerning alleged discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful discharge, occupational safety and health violations, and other concerns related to employment.
Bob frequently represents employers in matters pending with government agencies, including OSHA, the NLRB, EEOC, and a variety of other federal and state agencies.
He also provides day-to-day legal advice to employers with respect to all aspects of the employment relationship.
Bob has practiced labor and employment law exclusively for 22 years and has been board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for 18 years.
Representative Matters
Defended employment-related lawsuits in federal and state court.
Handled numerous OSHA cases including a variety of OSHA fatality investigations over more than 20 years.
Coordinated health and safety workplace audits working with safety engineers and consultants.
Represented employers in federal and state agency employment discrimination investigations.
Represented employers in union and nonunion arbitration cases involving various issues.
Negotiated and drafted executive compensation and severance agreements.
Handled unfair labor practice charges and other union issues.
Represented employers on a number of occasions in appeals to the Fifth Circuit and state appellate courts.
Advised employers with respect to employment policies, discipline, discharge, safety, health, wage, discrimination and retaliation matters.
