Mark E. Engelbart
Mark Engelbart is the primary paralegal within the corporate and securities section of Bracewell & Giuliani’s New York office. In this capacity, he is responsible for coordinating with members of his department to advise such clients and interested parties, as private investment firms, corporations and financial institutions, with mergers, acquisitions and the sale of corporate assets, private equity investments, financing arrangements, securities law compliance, corporate governance and general corporate matters, bankruptcy proceedings, and complex corporate debt restructuring.
Prior to joining Bracewell, Mr. Engelbart was a paralegal with an AmLaw 200 law firm headquartered in New Jersey, where he assisted with the representation of creditors in chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases throughout the U.S., including defending such clients against claims objections, preference actions and violation of stay proceedings. Additionally, he worked on the filing of administrative claims, contract rejection and/or assumption matters, adequate assurance issues, and other bankruptcy related concerns. He also has experience working on state court receivership cases and non-bankruptcy collection cases.
