LaTasha Snipes counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, patent licensing, patent disputes, trademarks, copyrights, copyright licensing agreements, technology transfers, and related matters. She is experienced in many aspects of patent prosecution including search, availability of use analysis, patent application drafting, and responses to office actions. Tasha conducts examiner interviews before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and represents clients in trademark prosecution, opinion work, and assessing federal and state trademark registrability and clearance. She also has experience counseling clients in business method patents, protecting multi-media projects (music, art, video production), and domain name disputes.
Tasha represents clients in industries such as RFID, telecommunications, e-commerce, software, electrical engineering, oil and gas, banks and financial institutions.
Prior to entering the legal profession, she worked as an electrical engineer, designing control strategies for oil and gas refineries. She also worked as a communication engineer in the aerospace industry.
During law school, Tasha was involved in mock trial where her team advanced to the national tournament. She also was the submissions editor of the Houston Business & Tax Law Journal.
