Jennifer Ashton is a member of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP’s intellectual property section. Throughout her career, she has managed and maintained U.S. and international trademark portfolios for various clients ranging from start-up to Fortune 500 companies. She is experienced in all aspects of U.S. and international trademark clearance, prosecution and maintenance including registering and maintaining trademark and copyright registrations. She routinely counsels clients regarding trademark, copyright, domain name, and related intellectual property matters, including domestic and foreign brand selection, prosecution, enforcement, and acquisitions as well as intellectual property portfolio strategies. Jennifer has experience in providing clearance searches and opinions for trademarks, drafting cease-and-desist letters, drafting infringement opinions for trademarks and copyrights, performing due diligence for intellectual property portfolios, drafting cease-and-desist letters, providing counsel regarding opposition/cancellation proceedings, and preparing, reviewing and analyzing trademark, copyright and patent Assignment and Licensing Agreements. She also provides litigation support in patent infringement actions and general commercial matters.
