David Morris represents and counsels clients in commercial and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Morris has experience with a variety of areas, including commercial litigation, construction litigation and arbitration, intellectual property litigation (including trademark, copyright, trade secret and patent cases), products liability litigation, banking litigation, oil and gas cases, UCC litigation and arbitration, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, shareholder oppression cases, and general contractual matters. Mr. Morris' experience includes first chair experience in real estate litigation and a landlord-tenant dispute, second chair experience in multiple banking related litigations, products liability litigation, UCC arbitration before the International Dispute Resolution Center, and multiple construction arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association.
Representative Matters
Waste Services, Inc. v. Waste Management, et al., Case No. 6:05CV320-ORL-19JGG, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. Represented former CEO of Waste Management as primary associate in tortious interference and monopolization case, and the litigation was dismissed on summary judgment.
Schlumberger Technology Corporation v. Ranlyn Construction, Inc.; Cause No. 2006-17391; 61st Judicial District Court of Harris County, Texas. Represented Schlumberger as primary associate in negligent construction case and obtained favorable settlement for the client.
Tesco Corporation v. Weatherford International, Inc., et al.; Civil Action No. 4:08-CV-02531; United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. Represented Tesco Corporation in patent infringement litigation.
MBCI, a division of NCI Group, Inc. v. Cannon Storage Systems d/b/a Vern Cannon Company and Vern Cannon; Cause No. 2008-47714; in the 269th Judicial District Court of Harris County, Texas. Representing MBCI as primary associate in breach of contract and products liability case.

Represented Metabank as second chair in banking related litigation and obtained a favorable settlement for client.

Gavin and Sabine Stener vs. Fairport Yachts, Ltd.; Yanmar America Corporation; and, C&C and Tartan of Texas, LLC, Cause No. 2007-38971; In the 157th Judicial District Court of Harris County, Texas. Represented individuals as second chair in products liability litigation and obtained a favorable verdict.

Represented overseas tire manufacturer in litigation involving claims for misappropriation of trade secrets, copyright infringement and trademark infringement.
