Christopher Schenck has been with Bracewell since the opening of the Seattle office in July of 2010. Chris is an intellectual property litigator, with a primary focus on patent litigation. He serves clients primarily in the telecommunications, semiconductor, internet, and software industries. Chris has trial experience as both second chair and technical lead attorney in federal and state courts, as well as in the International Trade Commission (ITC).
Prior to becoming a full-time litigator, Chris prosecuted patents for several years, working on a variety of subject matters ranging from simple mechanical devices to complicated encryption schemes and computer algorithms. Chris also devoted part of his practice to licensing intellectual property, and to performing and coordinating open source and third-party code review for mergers, acquisitions, and investment transactions.
Chris has been named a Rising Star in intellectual property litigation by Washington Law & Politics in each of the last two years. While in college, Chris and his teammates earned an honorable mention award at the World Finals of the Association for Computing Machinery’s Collegiate Programming contest.
