Mr. Dodson is a trial lawyer focusing on complex commercial litigation in a broad array of areas, including contracts, intellectual property, trade secrets, antitrust, and business torts. Mr. Dodson's clients range from Fortune 500 companies to individuals. His clients do business in a variety industries, including oilfield services, offshore drilling, financial services, waste services, commercial real estate, construction, grocery, technology, telecommunications, banking, software, and metals.
Mr. Dodson has first and second chair jury trial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He appears regularly in state and federal courts across the country. Recently, Mr. Dodson has represented clients in cases pending in California federal court, Florida state court, Argentina, and in courts throughout Texas. Mr. Dodson prepares every case as if it is going to trial, while at the same time remaining cognizant of his client's underlying business objectives.
Mr. Dodson joined Bracewell after graduating from law school in 2005 and has been at the firm ever since. He is a Houston native.
Mr. Dodson serves on the Young Alumni Board of Southern Methodist University and is a Life Fellow of the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation. He has also chaired a number of local bar association committees. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dodson worked on several national election campaigns and for the counsel's office of a national political committee. He remains active and interested in legal issues related to public policy and the political process.
