The Dubai office of Bracewell & Giuliani is an integral part of the firm's well-established global energy and finance practices. At the hub of Bracewell’s Middle East practice, our Dubai-based and international attorneys represent established and entrepreneurial U.S. domestic, regional and European clients in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) and throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council States of Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. We also have experience of advising our clients in jurisdictions such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon.
Bracewell has a strong understanding of “doing business” in the U.A.E and the wider Middle East and has developed experience in the provision of local law guidance and support coupled with the ability to support international work with English, New York, Quebec, and British Columbia qualified lawyers present in our Dubai office. This is further enhanced by our lawyers’ language skills in the region with attorneys in the Dubai office fluent in the principal business languages of the region, Arabic, English and French. Our relationships in the U.A.E are enhanced by one of our senior partners being a member of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Financial Services Authority, while another partner is a member of the Board of Advisors to the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority Board of Directors.
Attorneys in the Dubai office provide clients with counsel in financing transactions, asset purchases and sales, equity transactions, the establishment of joint ventures and other business combinations, and issues related to labor, corporate structuring, corporate governance, and issuing securities on the local U.A.E capital markets. The firm's long history in the region and our familiarity with local laws and key regulatory officials enable us to help clients address the day-to-day requirements of — and exploit strategic opportunities found in — doing business in the Middle East.
