Bracewell Represents Underwriters in CPS Energy’s $521 Million Bond Issuance to Fund Natural Gas Power Generation Plant Purchase

Bracewell & Giuliani LLP served as underwriters’ counsel in connection with the issuance and sale of the $521 million City of San Antonio, Texas Electric and Gas Systems Revenue Bonds, Taxable New Series 2012. The Bonds were issued to fund CPS Energy’s purchase of and initial capital expenditures for an 800-MW natural gas-fired, combined-cycle electric generating plant located in Seguin, Texas. CPS Energy is the nation’s largest municipally owned natural gas and electric utility, servicing customers in and around San Antonio.
