Bracewell Advises Kinder Morgan on IPO

Kinder Morgan is one of the largest pipeline transportation and energy storage companies in North America, with more than 37,000 miles of pipelines and 180 terminals. These pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, carbon dioxide and more. They also store or handle a variety of products and materials at Kinder Morgan terminals, such as gasoline, jet fuel, ethanol, coal, petroleum coke and steel.
Transaction Value: $3.3 Billion
Bracewell represented Kinder Morgan Inc. in the filing of a $3.3 billion IPO. This filing marked the largest IPO by a U.S. energy company since 1998. Priced at $30 a share, the offering raised $2.9 billion for the selling stockholders and was the largest U.S. IPO to date by private equity firms.
Kinder Morgan began trading publicly on February 11, 2011.
