Bracewell & Giuliani Adds Litigation Partner Judge Joseph M. Cox in Dallas

DALLAS — Bracewell & Giuliani LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Judge Joseph M. Cox as a litigation partner in the firm’s Dallas office. Prior to joining Bracewell, he was a partner with Patton Boggs LLP.
With experience in jury trial, bench trial and appellate matters, Judge Cox represents clients in complex financial and commercial disputes, class actions, product liability, personal injury litigation, fraud, and issues stemming from creditors’ rights. He is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Judge Cox has represented clients in issues spanning a variety of industries, including Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) violations; lender liability; theft of trade secrets; notes and guarantees; stock options and ownership; labor and employment issues; environmental concerns; family law; mechanics and materialmen’s licenses; sequestration and repossession of collateral and destruction of collateral; unfair debt collection practices; wrongful eviction; medical malpractice and wrongful death; and breach of contract, breach of noncompete agreements and breach of leases.
As a judge in the 160th Judicial District Court of the State of Texas, Judge Cox presided over jury and bench trials as well as hearings. In private practice, he has tried numerous cases to verdict.
