Bracewell Honored By Washington Lawyers' Committee

Houston, TX (July 1, 2009) — The Washington Lawyers' Committee has honored Bracewell & Giuliani LLP with an Outstanding Achievement Award in Public Education for its "Brighten Up Brightwood Elementary" community service project. The award was presented to Bracewell attorneys Tracy Davis and Greg Williams at the recent Wiley A. Branton Awards Luncheon.
The Washington Lawyers' Committee began its public education program and partnerships in 1997 to provide tutoring, mentoring and enrichment for area students. Their programs have impacted more than 12,000 students. Bracewell became involved in 2003. The firm has organized and implemented many community service projects including big book parties, they have also raised funds to finance the purchase of physical education and playground equipment.
Most recently, Bracewell made the grounds at Brightwood Elementary more inviting by planting a variety of flowers and greenery. Attorneys and staff participated and many brought their children to help. Brightwood school officials, staff and students also pitched in to make this a true partnership.
