Firm Elects Ten New Partners

HOUSTON(Feb. 15, 2006) – Ten attorneys in three offices of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP were recently elected as partners in the firm.
New Houston partners include Corey C. Brown, Catherine H. Day, Thomas F.A. Hetherington, Stan R. Jensen, John F. Luman III, Charlotte M. Rasche and Steven R. Tredennick. In San Antonio, Julia M. Rendon and James E. Satel have been elected partner. In Washington, Amauri G. Costa has been elected partner.
Brown of Houston practices general corporate and securities law, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He earned his undergraduate degree in 1992 from Texas A&M University and his law degree in 1996 from University of Houston Law Center.
Costa of Washington handles corporate and finance work primarily for companies located in and doing business in Latin America. He received his law degree in 1990 from Law School of the University of São Paulo in Brazil and has a masters degree from University of London. He is also qualified and has practiced law in Brazil.
Day of Houston focuses on finance, representing financial institutions and borrowers. In 1993, she completed her undergraduate degree at Rice University and in 1997, she earned her law degree from University of Virginia School of Law.
Hetherington, a trial lawyer in the firm's Houston office, represents a broad array of clients in complex commercial litigation matters. He achieved his undergraduate degree in 1995 from Rice University and earned his law degree in 1998 from the University of Houston Law Center.
Jensen of Houston is an expert in corporate finance and energy transactions. He earned his undergraduate degree in 1992 from Brigham Young University and his law degree in 1995 from The University of Texas School of Law.
Luman of Houston focuses his litigation practice primarily on intellectual property disputes. He received his undergraduate degree in 1987 from George Washington University, his masters in 1989 from The University of Texas and his law degree in 1995 from Syracuse University College of Law.
Rasche of Houston represents financial institutions in corporate and securities law matters and mergers and acquisitions. She achieved her undergraduate degree in 1986 from Stephen F. Austin University, her masters degree in 1988 from Oklahoma State University and her law degree in 1997 from The University of Texas School of Law.
Rendon of San Antonio represents management on an array of labor and employment issues. She secured her undergraduate degree from University of Rochester in 1991 and her law degree from Emory University School of Law in 1994.
Satel of San Antonio practices commercial and real estate law. He earned his undergraduate degree in 1988 at The University of Texas and his law degree in 1991 at St. Mary's University School of Law.
Tredennick of Houston practices corporate and securities matters and mergers and acquisitions. He achieved his undergraduate degree from Whittier College in 1993 and his masters and law degrees from University of Virginia in 1997.
