Tricia DeLeon represents and counsels business clients in complex commercial litigation and appeals in areas including consumer finance, banking, class actions and commercial bankruptcy. Ms. DeLeon also represents insurers in coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, and claims under the Texas Insurance Code.
Before joining Bracewell & Giuliani in 2000, Ms. DeLeon was a briefing attorney for the Honorable James A. Baker at the Supreme Court of Texas.
Representative Matters
Defended several state and national financial institutions against consumer-based claims brought pursuant to TILA, ECOA and Article 4 of the UCC.
Represented secured creditors, Chapter 11 Trustees and Liquidating Trustee in various commercial bankruptcy matters, including litigation of a Trustee's Motion to Estimate Claims under 11 U.S.C. § 502(c).
Defended a national insurance company and its entities in multiple suits filed by policy owners alleging breach of contract and DTPA violations.
