Jeffrey Ansley serves clients as counsel in criminal, regulatory and civil matters. His criminal practice focuses on the defense of white collar crime, especially matters involving allegations of securities fraud, mail and wire fraud, money laundering, bribery, tax offenses and other business crimes. His regulatory practice is focused primarily on the defense of clients in SEC matters, including acting as counsel for broker dealers, investment advisors, officers and directors and corporate entities and individuals involved in federal and state securities investigations. Mr. Ansley also conducts internal investigation work on behalf of corporate clients.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Ansley served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas and was the lead prosecutor for the District's Securities Fraud Task Force. In that role, Mr. Ansley coordinated the actions of a multi-agency task force that investigated and prosecuted securities fraud. Mr. Ansley has tried or prosecuted numerous complicated criminal cases. Mr. Ansley formerly served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma, where he successfully prosecuted the former CEO of a public company for corporate fraud.
Before joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, Mr. Ansley served as an Enforcement Attorney with the SEC. Mr. Ansley investigated a wide variety of Federal securities law violations, including complex investigations involving financial and accounting fraud, insider trading, registration violations and regulatory compliance matters.
