Ms. Simmons is an associate in the firm's Washington, D.C. office and is in the process of transitioning to the Seattle* office. Her practice focuses on trademark enforcement and litigation, as well as matters relating to unfair competition, false advertising and copyrighted material. She has second chair trial experience. Ms. Simmons has served clients in the food and beverage, online retail, medical, telecommunications and shopping center industries.
In addition to litigation, Ms. Simmons maintains trademark portfolios comprised of both foreign and domestic trademark prosecution matters; handles opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board; acquires domain names through implementation of the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy; and analyzes trademark search reports and provides clearance opinions. Her clients have included Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Simmons was a journalist, writing more than 20 articles for national publications.
