William C. McMurrey serves individual and corporate clients as counsel in complex criminal, civil, and regulatory matters. His practice focuses on antitrust, healthcare, securities, financial institution, false claims and tax matters, and any other business related investigation and prosecution. He discretely directs internal investigations for corporate clients before and during government inquires and whistle blower qui tam actions.
Mr. McMurrey comes to the firm with 16 years of prosecutorial experience with the United States Department of Justice as a Trial Attorney with the Department's Antirust Division and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas where he was the Healthcare Fraud Coordinator. As a Trial Attorney with the Antitrust Division he investigated and tried priced fixing and market allocation cases. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Major Fraud Section, Mr. McMurrey prosecuted and served as lead counsel for a wide variety of federal criminal cases, including healthcare, securities, bank, and tax matters. He handled all phases of parallel proceedings, grand jury, trial and appellate work and supervised high profile investigations and prosecutions.
