Mark A. Font represents refineries, chemical plants, pharmaceutical manufacturers and other large companies in toxic tort cases involving alleged injuries from exposure to products through air, soil, and water; premises liability cases involving catastrophic injuries from equipment failures; and products liability cases involving wrongful death and personal injury from design, manufacture and other alleged defects.
Mr. Font has substantial first-chair jury and non-jury trial experience. He represents business clients in state and federal courts, including multi-district litigation, and before appellate courts and regulatory agencies in a range of matters, including injunctive relief, mandamus, bankruptcy, licensing, collections, all facets of real property law, business torts, libel and slander, breach of contract, disputes over performance of fiduciary obligations, fraud allegations, deceptive trade practices and theft of trade secrets.
Additionally, Mr. Font's experience includes advising and assisting government agencies and businesses with ongoing operational needs, including contract negotiation, asset purchase and divestiture, and regulatory compliance and planning.
Prior to becoming associated with the firm, Mr. Font served as Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, Texas and as a Briefing Attorney for the Fourteenth Court of Appeals.
