Mario E. de la Garza is a member of the firm's Corporate Section and Latin America Group where he practices general corporate law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate control matters, securities, private company business issues and international practice issues. Among international practice issues, Mr. de la Garza has focused on assisting international companies develop their policies for compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Prior to joining Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, Mr. de la Garza worked in a civil appellate practice as an advocate in complex business disputes, often involving contract interpretation and fiduciary duty obligations. Mr. de la Garza brings this experience to the transactional table and counsels businesses and individuals in structuring their transactions to help avoid disputes and reduce the risks of litigation.
