Zhanar Kassymbekova
Principal
Ms. Kassymbekova concentrates on corporate, investment, and other civil law transactions. She also has experience of litigation in courts of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She has experience in both civil and common law systems.
Ms. Kassymbekova has worked in various areas of corporate and investment law, including: legal support of establishment of legal entities (including foreign ones) of different organization-legal forms, their branches and representative offices, investment projects, including those related to subsoil use and power engineering; corporate restructuring; litigation in courts of various levels relative to economic issues, tax disputes among them. She has advised clients on different aspects of law on licensing, energy, anti-monopoly (tariff) regulation, security market regulation and labor.
Ms. Kassymbekova has been with Bracewell & Giuliani since 1998. From 1995 to 1998, she was an associate with the law firm of Cameron McKenna and advisor with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) projects. Ms. Kassymbekova taught special courses at Turan University in Almaty.
