Christopher D. Heard focuses his practice on commercial lending and financial transactions.  He represents domestic and foreign lending institutions and borrowers in connection with a wide variety of commercial lending transactions, including structuring, negotiating, and documenting of all types of senior, subordinated, secured, second lien, and unsecured syndicated financial and other lending transactions, including secured asset-based debt financings, acquisition and working capital facilities, letter of credit facilities, term b loans, bond credit enhancement facilities, and oil and gas secured financings.  The majority of his practice consists of the representation of large commercial banks in connection with syndicated credit facilities to borrowers in a wide variety of industries, with emphasis on the energy sector.  He also devotes a significant amount of time to the representation of borrowers in syndicated loan transactions, particularly secured leverage transactions.

Represented lead arranger and administrative agent in a $1.18 billion secured revolving credit facility for a publicly traded midstream energy services master limited partnership.

Represented joint lead arranger and administrative agent in a $300 million secured second lien term loan facility for an independent oil and gas exploration and production company.

Represented lead arranger and administrative agent in a $250 million secured revolving credit facility governed by an oil and gas borrowing base for a private oil and gas exploration and production company.

Represented lead arranger and administrative agent in a $300 million secured revolving credit facility for a private oilfield services company.

Represented lead arranger and administrative agent in a $150 million secured revolving credit facility for a publicly traded offshore construction, engineering and support services company with extensive international operations.

Represented lead arranger and administrative agent in a $75 million senior secured revolving and term credit facilities for a producer of metallurgical and chemical-grade silicon metal and silicon-based specialty alloys.

Represented lead arranger and administrative agent in a $60 million senior secured revolving credit facility for an aviation fuel marketer.

Represented a manufacturer of steel buildings in its $41 million senior secured term, revolving and letter of credit facilities.

Represented a private oilfield services company in its $45 million senior secured advancing term loan and revolving credit facilities.

Represented lead arranger and administrative agent in a $36 million senior secured term, revolving and capex facilities for an oilfield services company.

Represented lender in a $30 million uncommitted secured line of credit for a commodity contract broker.
