Samuel Stricklin has more than 20 years of experience in the practice of business bankruptcy law. He has represented clients in contested hearings before more than 40 bankruptcy judges in 17 states, as well as cross-border restructurings in Canada and Europe. Mr. Stricklin has trial and courtroom experience on commercial bankruptcy and litigation issues. It is noted in Chambers 2006 that he is "Not afraid to fight in court for what he could not get in negotiations," and most recently, Chambers 2007 highlights him as a "Creditors Committee Star."

Mr. Stricklin has been lead attorney in a wide range of business bankruptcy cases, representing debtors, trustees, creditors' committees, secured creditors, other bankruptcy professionals and purchasers of assets. Mr. Stricklin has confirmed Chapter 11 plans of reorganization representing debtors, creditors' committees, secured lenders and purchasers of assets, including several heavily contested confirmations involving competing plans of reorganization. He is board certified in business bankruptcy law by the State Bar of Texas.

Prior to joining Bracewell & Giuliani LLP as a partner, he spent 13 years of his career as a bankruptcy attorney at Sheinfeld, Maley & Kay P.C. in Dallas, Texas, where he also served as managing partner of the Dallas office.
