Alex Miller is the managing director at Svoboda Capital Partner. Together with John Svoboda, Mr. Miller is responsible for investment origination, evaluation, closing and portfolio management. In 2003, he led SCP's expansion into the consumer sector.
Prior to joining Svoboda Capital Partners, Mr. Miller was employed by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Chicago and Zurich, Switzerland. At BCG, he led and contributed to project teams focused on developing and implementing growth and profit improvement strategies for consumer packaged goods, beverage and financial services companies. Mr. Miller was employed by Arthur Andersen L.P. in the Transaction Advisory Group from 1992 to 1995.
Mr. Miller received his BA degree and BBA degree, both with high honors, from the University of Notre Dame, and his MBA, with honors, from Harvard.
Chris Sheffert is an associate with Svoboda Capital Partners. Mr. Sheffert's responsibilities as an associate include investment origination, evaluation, closing and portfolio management.
Mr. Sheffert began his private equity career as a summer associate with Fog City Capital in San Francisco. prior to Fog City, Mr. Sherrert led the business development efforts for and was part of the management team of Manchester Companies, a boutique consulting and investment baning firm based in Minneapolis. Mr. Sheffert was also an entrepreneur starting his own executive search firm from 1999 to 2001. Mr. Sheffert received his BA degree from St. Olaf College and his MBA from the Stranford Graduate School of Business.
Svoboda Capital Partners LLC (SC) is a Chicago-based private equity firm that invests in and helps build leading value -added distribution, consumer and business services companies in the lower-middle market.
