Program Description
It is inevitable that school staff will, at some point, attend an IEP meeting where the parent makes a request for services that are unusual, extraordinary, or out of the ordinary. School staff may be unsure how to analyze such a request particularly if the request seems excessive in light of the needs of a child with a disability. this presentation analyzes the law regarding request for services and provides current case law and hearing officer decisions to analyze the good, the bad and the ugly.
