The Travis County District Attorney's Office has worked with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Texas Environmental Task Force since 1994 to investigate and prosecute environmental crimes throughout the state. To bolster these enforcement efforts, Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, in cooperation with TCEQ, recently announced the creation of this new environmental crimes prosecutor position.
