Lacey L. Gourley is speaking on "Labor Relations for the Unorganized Texas Hospital."
Program Information
These days, an unorganized workforce doesn't mean messy and unkempt. Rather, it means a workforce that is not represented by a labor union. Texas Hospitals are facing labor relations challenges, organizing activity and corporate campaigns from a new federation of unions that has targeted the healthcare industry. This session will review the impact of the National Labor Relations Act on non-union hospitals, recent union organizing activities and strategies, and recommendations on preparing for and responding to these union activities.
