In this town-hall style program, Bracewell's bipartisan team of Washington experts will break down the results of the 2008 elections and explain how the next White House and Congress will interact with each other and impact your business, private industry and the major public institutions, and economic prospects. Hosted by former U.S. Rep. Jim Chapman (D-TX) and former U.S. Rep. Susan Molinari (R-NY), this interactive program will address important issues facing the nation, including:
- How a Democratic Congress will work with the next Obama Administration and what it means for the Congressional agenda
- What the energy sector can expect from Congress and the Administration
- The impact of the government's response to the financial crisis, and the prognosis for more legislation in this arena
- The future face of coming financial regulation
- Congressional budget options in light of current government spending, the deficit and a looming recession
- The tax outlook for corporations and individuals
- Environmental and climate change legislation and regulation
- Health care reform: prospects for universal coverage and other solutions
