November 3, 2010

Bracewell & Giuliani LLP proudly sponsored the Third Annual DAABA Night at the Opera: Awards, Corporate Counsel, Civic Leaders and Judges, held at the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House, on October 20, 2010. Wayne Watts, Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel for AT&T was the keynote speaker. The awards reception honored individuals who have made significant contributions to the area’s legal community and the Asian-American community in general. The event was highly attended by in-house counsels, law firm attorneys, as well as judges and local government and civic leaders.

The Dallas Asian American Bar Association (DAABA) is one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic legal associations in Texas. Founded by just 15 attorneys in 1988, DAABA today boasts more than 200 members, including private practice attorneys, in-house corporate counsel, government attorneys, judges, officials, law professors, and law students. DAABA advocates for the interests of local Asian American attorneys and the greater Asian community. The association encourages and promotes the professional growth and good community standing of its members. DAABA fosters fellowship both within its membership and among other members of the legal profession, including cooperation with other organizations of minority attorneys.
