Started by Foundry United Methodist Church in 1993, the mission of Concert for Life is to raise money to support HIV/AIDS organizations located in both Washington D.C. and Africa. Organizations benefiting from the funds include Metro Teen AIDS, which provides education programs and resources to young people in the D.C. metroplex, and Little Angels, a foster home for abandoned HIV-infected infants in Cape Town, South Africa. One hundred percent of all proceeds raised goes directly to Concert beneficiaries that help people living with HIV/AIDS.
